The combat aviation of the Angolan Air Force is traditionally equipped with aviation equipment developed in Russia. For example, MiG-21 and MiG-23 of various modifications still serve there.

Attack aircraft are represented by Su-22M4, Su-25K, Su-24MK. At the end of the 90s, 8 Su-27SK aircraft and their combat training variants were purchased. Currently, 7 winged vehicles remain in service.
In 2019, the delivery of twelve two-seat Su-30K was completed. These fighters were previously part of the Indian Air Force, but after the more modern Su-30MKI entered service, they were returned to suppliers and sent to the Belarusian 558th Aviation Plant in Baranovichi for repair and refinement. There they were able to use anti-radar and anti-ship missiles X-31P and X-31A.
In addition to the previously used R - 27 surface-to-air missiles of various modifications, as well as the R-73, they can now attack the enemy with modern RVV-AE with more effective active radar homing heads. Jamming stations are also used.
Currently, the "thirties" are in active operation. A video of the flight of such an aircraft, including its passage at low altitude, has been posted on social networks. Currently, the Su-30MK2 is still in service with the Ugandan Air Force in southern Africa.
