Iran is developing a so-called kamikaze drone program in connection with the military escalation in the Middle East. Experts of the Project on Combating Extremism (CEP, headquarters in Washington) warn that the new tactics of the use of attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) by the Iranians is a "key element" of Tehran's efforts to expand its influence in the region, writes the Saudi newspaper Arab News.
The warning came at a time when the West was attacking Iran with accusations after a drone strike on a tanker in the Gulf of Oman on July 29.
As a result of the air attack, Adrian Underwood, a security guard and a veteran of the British army, as well as the Romanian captain of the Mercer Street merchant ship, were killed.
