The crew of the Black Sea Fleet minesweeper "Ivan Golubets", who began performing tasks as part of the permanent Naval grouping in the Mediterranean Sea, as part of planned combat training, worked out mine action before entering the ships ' home port – the port of Tartus.
During the training, the crew searched for mines in the designated water area using various types of trawls and the ship's anti-mine sonar system.
Together with the performance of tasks for their intended purpose, the sailors took part in shipboard exercises for the fight for survivability, anti-aircraft and anti-sabotage defense of the ship at sea crossing and when parked on an unprotected roadstead.
