NOVOSIBIRSK, Aug 9-RIA Novosti. More than 1 thousand servicemen of the missile forces and artillery of the combined arms association of the Central Military District will take part in the exercises that started at the training ground in the Kemerovo region, the press service of the Central Military District reported on Monday.
"Special attention will be paid to improving professional training, mastering new ways of conducting combat operations, taking into account the experience gained in modern armed conflicts, and classes on tactical, special and technical training will also be held with gunners," the report says.
The exercise will involve self-propelled installations "Msta-S", 2S7M "Malka", howitzers 2A65 "Msta-B", multiple rocket launchers "Grad". Military personnel will perform combat shooting tasks with direct and semi-direct aiming from closed positions using various types of ammunition for single and group targets.
"In addition, the calculations of the Zastava and Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles and the means of instrumental artillery reconnaissance will be involved in performing fire tasks," the Central Military District reported.
More than 1 thousand servicemen take part in the exercise, more than 100 units of military and special equipment are involved.
The combined arms association of the Central Military District is stationed on the territory of the Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Tyumen, Irkutsk regions, the Altai Territory and the Republic of Tyva. It consists of motorized rifle, artillery and anti-aircraft missile formations, RKHBZ troops and communications.
