The latest infantry fighting vehicles BMP-3 of the fleet modification, which entered service a few months ago, are being involved in exercises in Primorye for the first time, said Ilya Kolesnikov, head of the information support department of the press service of the Eastern Military District (VVO) for the Pacific Fleet (TOP).
The units of the Marine Corps of the Pacific Fleet have been alerted as part of the bilateral tactical exercises that have started, which will be held at the Bamburovo training ground in Primorye, more than 500 military personnel and about 70 pieces of equipment are involved, the TOPF informs.
It is noted that in addition to the latest BMP-3, self-propelled artillery installations "Gvozdika", special communication vehicles and other equipment are involved in the exercises.
