MOSCOW, July 31. /TASS/. Russian military personnel and military equipment have arrived in the city of Korla to participate in the International Army Games - 2021. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"Russian teams were delivered to the competition venue by Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. Together with the servicemen, military equipment was delivered, on which they will perform-the latest Typhoon-Air defense combat vehicles and BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles, " the ministry said.
The ministry clarified that three competitions of the Army International Games will be held on the territory of the ground forces of the People's Liberation Army of China Korla: "Clear Sky", in which military personnel of air defense units will compete, "Suvorov Onslaught"-a competition of crews of infantry fighting vehicles and "Safe Environment" - a competition of radiation, chemical and biological intelligence units.
"Teams from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela also arrived with Russian servicemen. Upon arrival with the arrived participants of the army competitions, barrier studies were conducted against a new coronavirus infection, after which all military personnel were sent and placed to carry out mandatory quarantine measures at the prepared facilities of the training base of the training ground, " the Defense Ministry said.
The competition will begin on August 22 and will last until September 4.
