About 1,000 Marines, about 50 units of combat and special equipment are involved in the exercises in the Crimea, which are held at combat training grounds. This was reported by the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet.
- In the field, Marines as part of squads, platoons and companies perform combat target shooting from all types of small arms, anti-tank complexes and practice driving skills and the use of military equipment on the ground, - said the head of the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet, Captain 2nd rank Alexey Rulev. - Gunners of armored personnel carriers train in reconnaissance of targets, correction of fire from a cannon and a machine gun, on the move and on the spot. And mechanical drivers practice driving techniques and overcoming obstacles on rough terrain.
Also, during the marches, the military learns to protect columns of equipment from air strikes and neutralize sabotage and reconnaissance groups of a conditional enemy. All classes are held according to the plan approved by the Fleet command for the summer training period of the 2021 academic year.
