Servicemen of motorized rifle units of the Central Military District (CVO) in the Sverdlovsk region are mastering the experimental training program "Steel Hunter".
The program makes it possible to increase the interchangeability of crew members of BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles during combat training tasks, as well as to train military personnel in non-standard ways of conducting combat.
This training program differs significantly from the standard one in that previously the crew members of the combat vehicle were trained individually. For example, the driver-mechanic only controlled the equipment, and the commander and the gunner acted strictly within their functionality.
The combat training program "Steel Hunter" implies that during the driving and shooting exercises, the driver-mechanic can switch places with the commander or gunner at the command of the head of the class and continue driving along the highway. Also, in addition to combat shooting at standard targets, the course of the" Steel Hunter " includes flanking shooting, overcoming a section with mine-explosive barriers, fighting against unmanned aerial vehicles and medical training.
