TSAMTO, July 22. The enterprises of the United Shipbuilding Corporation handed over 11 warships to the customer last year, said the head of the USC Alexey Rakhmanov at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"This is one of the best results for us," he stressed.
A. Rakhmanov noted that work continues on unconditional compliance with the schedules for the construction of ships, however, "we are still being let down by suppliers for large-sized equipment, but I hope that the situation will gradually improve."
The head of the USC also said that " we have commissioned 20 vessels for civil shipbuilding in 2020. This is also one of our best results, and revenue increased in the civil shipbuilding sector: this is already 21 percent. of the total volume".
In general, according to A. Rakhmanov, " the industry and the corporation have worked steadily for 2020, despite all the vicissitudes of the pandemic. Our revenue fell slightly in 2020 compared to 2019, but by less than one percent."
"The order portfolio is very good: we are loaded until 2028, " A. Rakhmanov noted.
The head of USC stressed that " the corporation pays special attention to cost optimization. This year, compared to last year, we were able to save about 18 billion rubles through technological improvement initiatives, optimization of procurement procedures, financial instruments that help us to implement our projects in many ways."
