In the Volgograd Region, at the Prudboy training ground, the crews of T-90A tanks of the motorized rifle unit of the Southern Military District (SEO) began training on a new method of tactical and firing exercises of shooting.
The exercise implements requirements that, in some respects, exceed the standards for training combat vehicle crews in leading countries of the world, in particular, the range of firing from a tank gun has been increased by 200 m (up to 2.2 thousand m). The time for displaying targets has been reduced, which is why the rate of shooting has increased.
The new method is characterized by a suddenly changing target situation and a simultaneous combination of fire tasks with the use of the entire complex of tank weapons. This develops the crew's operational response and the ability to act outside the box when solving a combat task.
In the current training period, the intensity of combat training has been increased by more than 10% compared to last year. The total number of classes on driving combat vehicles will be more than 160 hours, fire training and practical shooting more than 220 hours. Every second lesson is held at night.
