ZHUKOVSKY /Moscow region/, July 22. /TASS/. "Radar MMC" can adapt the search and sighting complex "Kasatka" for the promising turboprop airliner Il-114-300. This was announced to TASS at the MAKS-2021 air show by Ivan Antsev, executive director of the company that developed the complex "Radar mms".
"In the interests of export customers, we are considering installing a search and sighting complex on the new Il-114-300. We demonstrate to potential customers the full range of tasks solved by the "Killer Whale", and all the functionality of the complex on the example of a flying laboratory based on the Il-114 aircraft in experimental combat use at landfills and in conditions of real problem solving, " Antsev informed.
According to him, there is already interest in the sea patrol aircraft "Kasatka" based on the Il-114-300. "The interest in the complex is significant both from domestic customers and from export customers," Antsev added.
The launch of the Il-114-300 into mass production will allow providing the "Killer Whale" with a reliable carrier. "Taking into account the planned mass production of the new turboprop IL-114-300, which is presented at MAKS-2021, the Killer Whale is gaining a promising carrier and significant export potential. The IL-114-300 can be executed both for solving civil aviation tasks, and in modifications with special equipment for performing various patrol, monitoring and search tasks. The main advantages of this aircraft are cost-effectiveness in maintenance, unpretentiousness to the quality of the runway, the ability to land on a well - developed ski landing gear, operation at different altitudes and in wide temperature ranges, including in the conditions of the Arctic region," said Antsev.
The characteristics of the aircraft allow it to stay in the air for about 11 hours. "This ability for long - term barrage is extremely convenient for use for patrolling water and land borders, various types of monitoring, search operations," Antsev said.
