The holding company "Roselektronika" of the Rostec State Corporation has started the modernization of the communications complex of the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the holding at the MAKS-2021 air show.
"The specialists of the NPP "Flight" of the holding "Roselectronics" have begun to modernize the S-111 complex from the Su-57 as part of the development work that has now begun," the press service said.
As explained in the holding, thanks to the modernization, the complex will become lighter and more compact. "During the modernization of the S-111, the weight and size characteristics of the blocks from the complex will be improved - their weight and size will be reduced, the range and reliability of communication channels will be increased, the speed of information transmission between objects and control points will be increased," the holding said.
The Su-57 is a fifth-generation Russian multifunctional fighter aircraft. It is designed to destroy all types of air, ground and surface targets. It has a supersonic cruising speed, internal fuselage armament, radio-absorbing coating, as well as the latest complex of onboard equipment.
The International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS-2021) is held from July 20 to 25 in Zhukovsky, near Moscow.
