TSAMTO, July 20. The Kronstadt company is ready to provide flying platforms for testing technologies and technical solutions for integrating unmanned aircraft systems into a single airspace.
This was stated by Vladimir Voronov, Director of the Center for Advanced Research of Kronstadt JSC, during the IV Eurasian Aerospace Congress in Moscow.
Among the technological challenges that need to be overcome for the integration of UAS into a single airspace, he outlined the need to ensure the protection of unmanned aircraft from outside interference, including using means of intercepting radio control channels. It is necessary to create a single ground control point for various types of UAVs with a unified functionality and interface, which the Kronstadt company has experience in creating. There is also a need to establish a safe joint basing of manned and unmanned aircraft at airfields.
The Director of the Center for Advanced Research of Kronstadt JSC proposed to develop and adopt a technological program for integrating UAS into a single airspace, the draft of which has already been submitted to the Federal Air Transport Agency. And the Ministries of Industry and Trade and Transport should ensure the creation of technical solutions that ensure integration, including the creation of ground infrastructure.
"The basic technical solutions already exist. It is necessary to create pilot zones for testing integration technologies using existing technical solutions. We have an unmanned aircraft system created by state order, tested, and ready for mass production. Kronshtadt JSC is ready to provide flying platforms for testing and verification of technologies, including the implementation of air monitoring operations in an experimental mode, "Vladimir Voronov said at the conference" Integration of UAS into Russian airspace. Issues, barriers, solutions" of the IV Eurasian Aerospace Congress, the partner of which is JSC "Kronshtadt".
He stressed that safe flights in a single airspace are a request not only of civil aviation, but also of state aviation, both military and special-purpose: emergency monitoring, patrolling of the maritime economic zone, fire monitoring, and finally just changing the home airfield should be carried out in a routine mode without closing the airspace.
The Kronshtadt Group of Companies is the leader of the Russian industry in the field of creating high-tech unmanned aircraft systems of heavy class with more than 10 years of experience in the development, manufacture and operation of unmanned systems. Kronshtadt is a full-cycle company, where all the stages of creating unmanned aircraft systems are passed-from their design to testing and certification, creating ground components of complexes with UAVs, developing software at various levels, creating and implementing technological processes for manufacturing UAVs and servicing complexes. The company has its own production and flight test complex.
