MOSCOW, July 16. /TASS/. Joint exercises of the crews of the Kolpino submarine and the I. Golubets minesweeper to overcome minefields were held in the Black Sea. This was announced to journalists on Friday by the head of the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet, Captain 2nd rank Alexey Rulev.
"According to the plan of the exercises, Kolpino carried out an ascent in a given square in the immediate vicinity of the explored conditional minefield of the enemy. To ensure its passage through the "minefield", the I. Golubets arrived in the area, the crew of which, using minesweeping equipment, ensured the passage of the submarine in a surface position through a dangerous area," Rulev said about the course of the exercises.
According to him, the crew of the Ka-27PS search and rescue helicopter of the naval aviation and air defense of the Black Sea Fleet, which accompanied the submarine during the passage of minefields, was also involved in working out the task.
After working out the episode, the Kolpino crew continued to perform their tasks in the Black Sea.
