TSAMTO, July 15. The military personnel of the separate brigade of the Central Military District Protection of the Central Military District, stationed in the Sverdlovsk region, carried out a technical revision of the power supply system for the smoke intake of the TDA-3 smoke machine.
The revision concerned the power supply system of the unit responsible for the preparation of the smoke mixture. Military innovators combined the battery installation of the unit with the on-board chain of the KAMAZ car, on the chassis of which the TDA-3 equipment is placed. The improvement made it possible to reduce the percentage of self-discharge of the battery of the smoke unit start-up system, as well as to minimize the voltage drop during long marches and high load.
The TDA-3 machine is designed for setting up ground-level and elevated aerosol curtains in order to mask troops and objects from reconnaissance systems and protect against the guidance of high-precision weapons, the press service of the Central Military District reports.
