MOSCOW, July 14. /TASS/. Several nuclear submarines (submarines) of different projects are simultaneously being tested at sea, according to a statement by JSC PO Sevmash (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, USC), distributed on Wednesday.
"The nuclear submarines of the 4th generation of the Yasen-M and Borey-A projects built on the Sevmash are undergoing active navigation. Several ships are checking systems and mechanisms at sea at once, " the report says.
According to the company, for the first time in recent decades, several missile carriers of different projects are undergoing sea tests at once. "Some submarines went to sea for the first time after the completion of construction in the boathouse, while others continued testing systems and mechanisms this year," the report says.
In early July, a source in the military-industrial complex told TASS that the Novosibirsk nuclear submarine of the Yasen-M project 885M first entered the White Sea for factory sea trials. The source also told TASS that the nuclear-powered strategic missile cruiser Prince Oleg of project 955A (code "Borey-A") first went to sea for testing on May 30, in mid-June it returned to base.
