MOSCOW, July 13. /TASS/. The main naval parade, which will be held on July 25 in St. Petersburg, will be the largest in comparison with the previous ones, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Tuesday.
"The fifth in a row in recent history, it [the parade] takes place in the year of the 325th anniversary of the Russian Fleet. The forces of all fleets and flotillas will take part in the parade. In addition, transport and special aviation aircraft, sailing vessels, as well as boats of the FSB border service will be involved," Shoigu said at a conference call.
He noted that " in comparison with previous parades, the current one promises to be the largest and most spectacular."
According to the minister, a total of 54 ships are planned to pass, including frigates from India, Iran and Pakistan, more than 4 thousand military personnel are involved in the event. At the end of the official part of the holiday, 48 planes and helicopters will fly in the sky over the Northern capital, Shoigu said.
