Military personnel of artillery units of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District (SE) in Abkhazia performed live firing exercises from modernized self-propelled artillery howitzers "Acacia".
The gunners hit special targets that imitate the enemy's armored vehicles on the march. To destroy the targets, an artillery division was involved on the modernized 152-mm ACS 2S3M "Acacia". The calculations destroyed the conditional enemy with direct fire.
The servicemen also worked out tasks on tank-dangerous borders and directions in the mountains and on the coastal territory of the Black Sea, destroying a command and observation post and armored vehicles of a conditional enemy at a distance of 700 to 1 thousand meters.
The personnel conducted anti-fire maneuvers and worked out tactical techniques of counter-battery fighting, performed fortification measures to equip firing positions.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that more than 1.5 thousand servicemen of the Southern Military District took part in the exercise, more than 300 units of weapons and military equipment were involved.
