Ukraine can "open fire to kill" on Russian ships that threaten the passage of Ukrainian ships through the Kerch Strait, in particular, the boats of the Rosgvardiya, writes Defense Express.
The information and consulting agency notes that the fire on the anti-sabotage boats of the project 21980 "Grachonok" and high-speed transport and landing boats of the project 02510 "BK-16" can be conducted both from the sea and from the air. In the first case, it is expected to use river armored boats of the project 58150 "Gyurza", in the second — Bayraktar TB2 drones or Mi-14 helicopters.
The agency recalls that in April, Ukrainian Mi-14s were involved in exercises to defeat surface targets with aerial bombs, and in June, an attack on landing ships of a conditional enemy was worked out with their participation.
In June, Motor Sich and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) signed an agreement for the supply of 14 Ukrainian power units for the 11-ton Turkish multi-purpose heavy combat helicopter ATAK-2 (T929).
In July 2020, the Interfax-Ukraine agency reported that Turkey and Ukraine are discussing the joint development and start of production of Bayraktar TB2 drones.
