The naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet, together with the aviation of the Southern Military District (SE), conducted combat training flights over the Black Sea against the background of the exercises of NATO and the partner countries of the Sea Breeze-2021 alliance. This was reported to journalists on Saturday in the press service of the Black Sea Fleet.
"The crews of naval aviation and air defense aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet, together with the aviation of the Southern Military District, conducted training flights over the Black Sea with the development of tasks for launching missile and bomb attacks on the ships of a conditional enemy. From the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet, multi-purpose Su-30SM fighters and Su-24M front-line bombers were involved, from the aviation of the Southern Military District - Su-34 fighter-bombers and Su-27 interceptor fighters, " the report says.
As part of the aviation exercises, the crew of the Be-12 amphibious aircraft performed reconnaissance of targets in the Black Sea. The role of a detachment of ships of the conditional enemy was performed by large landing ships "Saratov" and "Orsk".
More than 10 aircraft were involved in the exercises. When working out the destruction of targets singly and as part of pairs, the crews performed a call to the combat course. Conditional missile and bomb strikes were worked out. In addition, the military pilots performed simple and complex flight tasks from medium and low altitudes, taking into account the overcoming of the air defense means of the ships of the conditional enemy.
The Sea Breeze-2021 military exercises are being held in the Black Sea from June 28 to July 10. The main participants of the maneuvers are Ukraine, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Latvia and others. It is planned that about 4 thousand military personnel, 40 warships, boats and auxiliary vessels, 30 units of aviation equipment and more than 100 units of cars and armored vehicles will be involved in the exercises.
