VILYUCHINSK (Kamchatka Territory), June 29-RIA Novosti. A new school, kindergartens, as well as a yacht club and a ski track will be built as part of the development of social infrastructure at the base of the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet (TOPF) in Kamchatka, the Russian Defense Ministry told reporters.
"In the future, it is planned to build a cottage town for the command staff, a yacht club, a ski track, as well as a center of the Russian Geographical Society at the base of the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet. A secondary school for 500 places and two kindergartens will also be built, which will be able to accommodate up to 400 children, " the military department said.
The development of military and social infrastructure in the garrison was checked by Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov.
Military builders have already completed the construction of a multi-storey residential building for submariners in Vilyuchinsk. The house was built taking into account the seismic and climatic features of Kamchatka. The apartments have been redecorated and furniture has been placed.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported on the construction of military infrastructure facilities in Kamchatka for new nuclear submarines of the Yasen-M and Borey-A projects.
