TSAMTO, June 28. On June 27, the Project 636.3 "Magadan" sailed from St. Petersburg to the Baltic Sea for factory sea trials (ZHI).
The submarine crew conducts tests of systems and equipment together with the delivery team of the Admiralty Shipyards enterprise (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation). It is planned that the factory sea trials of the Magadan DPL will last 20 days. Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, was informed about the readiness for the start of factory sea trials on the eve of the submarine's departure to sea.
Earlier, during the mooring tests stage, specialists of divisions and contractors checked most of the ship's navigation system, the communications complex, ship-wide systems, the hydroacoustic complex, control systems, torpedo-missile weapons systems.
Magadan is the third submarine of the series under construction at Admiralty Shipyards for the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Federation, launched on March 26, 2021 in a high degree of readiness (91%).
Currently, the sections of the hull of the fourth submarine of the Pacific series "Ufa" are being docked, the durable hull is being welded.
The construction of a series of submarines for the Pacific Fleet is proceeding in accordance with contractual obligations. The third boat of the Magadan series will be transferred to the Russian Navy in November this year, and the fourth Ufa submarine is scheduled to be launched by the end of 2021.
The contract for the construction of the series was signed in September 2016. The first submarine "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky" was transferred to the Russian Navy on November 25, 2019. The Volkhov submarine, the second in the series, joined the Pacific Fleet on October 24, 2020, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Defense Ministry.
