This boat, rebuilt from an unfinished nuclear submarine missile cruiser of the project 949A, should become the first carrier of the ocean multi-purpose system "Poseidon".

Recall that the ceremony of the formal laying of the nuclear "research" submarine of project 09852 (factory number 91664) was held in the NSR boathouse on December 20, 2012. Project 09852 was developed by JSC "TSKB MT" Rubin "(St. Petersburg) within the framework of the R & D "Peremontirovka" under the contract of 2009 on the basis of the design of the nuclear missile submarine project 949A. In fact, the new project 09852 of the K-329 Belgorod nuclear missile submarine (factory number 664) of the modified project 949A was re-commissioned. Belgorod was started construction on the NSR in 1990 and was formally laid down on July 24, 1992, becoming the first ship of the modified project 949A.
