TSAMTO, June 15. In the interests of the engineering troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, work continues continuously on the development and creation of new engineering weapons that meet modern requirements.
In particular, work continues on the creation of engineering multifunctional robotic complexes: mine clearance of the heavy class IMRTK-RT and assault and barrage IMRTK-SHR.
To replace the outdated tank bridge-laying machines, work is underway to create the MTU-2020 tank bridge-laying machine based on the T-72B3 and T-90A tank components, assemblies and systems. In contrast to the bridge-laying troops, the load capacity of the new bridge has been increased to 60 tons.
A heavy mechanized bridge TMM-7 with an increased length of the bridge structure is being developed. The new scheme of opening the bridge will reduce the time of equipment of bridge crossings by about 1.5 times.
The development of new simulators for engineering weapons, which are full-scale dynamic simulators that provide training and training of vehicle crews to drive and perform engineering tasks in the classroom, continues. These are simulators for the new BMK-MO towboats, MTU-72 tank bridge-laying vehicles, PMM-2M ferry-bridge vehicles and UBIM universal armored engineering vehicle, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Defense Ministry.
