The Russian Pacific Fleet conducted large-scale exercises on the high seas. The event was attended by various types of troops, including naval aviation.
In particular, the Ka-27 anti-submarine deck helicopters performed tasks from the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Panteleev, the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov, the corvettes Gromky and Aldar Tsynenzhapov.
The ships also interacted with long-range aviation. So, three Tu-142mZ aircraft of the naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet, which took off from the Yelizovo airfield in Kamchatka, made a flight with a range of about 5 thousand kilometers to the place of the exercise. They were accompanied by MiG-31BM fighters.
In total, more than 20 ships, submarines and support vessels of the Pacific Fleet were involved in the exercises.
Earlier, on June 11, it was reported that the units of the Russian Black Sea Fleet began exercises to defend important infrastructure facilities from the means of an air attack by a simulated enemy in the Crimea.
Su-24M, Su-24MR, Su-30SM, as well as An-26, Be-12 and helicopters are involved in the development of tasks. A total of 15 units of aviation equipment. Also, about 50 units of weapons and military and special equipment were involved in the maneuvers.
