MOSCOW, June 15. /TASS/. First Deputy Defense Minister Ruslan Tsalikov together with Deputy Defense Minister Pavel Popov and a group of generals and officers of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation made a working trip to the Scientific Research Institute of Physical Problems. Lukin National Research Center (SIC) "Kurchatov Institute" in the Moscow region. This was reported to journalists in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation were shown the engineering and production building of the technological storage complex with the synchrotron "Zelenograd". The working group also took part in a meeting on the use of the engineering and production building and the prospects for the introduction of advanced scientific developments in the program of innovative development of the military technopolis "Era", the ministry said.

The working meeting was also attended by representatives of state research organizations, management and researchers of leading Russian universities and federal executive authorities, including the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Education and Science.

The Kurchatov Institute is one of the main performers of the Russian State Program for the Development of Electronic Technology. The Era Technopolis and the SIC have established cooperation in various areas of research activities. Operators of the military technopolis have the opportunity to use the advanced developments of the institute in their work.

Currently, Technopolis conducts research in 16 scientific areas, most of which cover the subject area of information technology. These include computer science and engineering, technical vision and pattern recognition, robotics, automated control systems, and telecommunications technologies.
