Strategic exercises in the Arctic and interspecific exercises to ensure the security of the Northern Sea Route will be held by the Northern Fleet in the autumn.
According to the press service of the Northern Fleet, the strategic military exercise will be the main test of the readiness of the forces and troops of the interspecific strategic association to perform tasks for their intended purpose. In addition, the fleet will conduct a series of interspecific exercises in the Arctic to ensure the safety of the Northern Sea Route.
The press service also noted that in 2021, the Arctic group of ships and support vessels with the marine corps will make the tenth trip to the seas of the Arctic Ocean. During the campaign, several amphibious operations will be conducted on the islands and the continental coast of the Russian Arctic.
