The latest uninhabited combat module "Epoch" in the near future may become the main one for Russian infantry fighting vehicles of three generations. Moreover, this product is already being installed on promising IFVs on the Kurganets-25 medium platform, and is also being tested on the BMP-3.
It is possible that we will see this development on the BMP-2. In any case, back in 2017, the layout of the "two" modernized in this way was demonstrated at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2017.
The main armament on the "Epoch" is a 57-mm automatic low-ballistics gun, which, as reported, in addition to anti-personnel high-explosive shells, will receive ammunition that allows you to effectively fight light armored vehicles.

Guided missiles, known as Bulat, will be used to destroy heavier vehicles, as well as various enemy firing points.
To fight well-armored main battle tanks, the Kornet ATGM will be useful, capable of hitting at 8000 -10000 meters and piercing 1300 mm of armor.
According to military experts, thanks to the "Era", the capabilities of Russian combined-arms units will significantly increase.
