In the Moscow region, on the basis of the Patriot Park, Russian sappers showed how the latest means of engineering weapons work and how to train specialists in humanitarian demining. The participants of the 4th International Conference on Mine Clearance looked at what protective equipment Russian sappers use, how they search for mines and explosive objects, as well as what tools are used in mine clearance and clearing the area.
Specialists of the Russian international mine action center showed how mine clearance is carried out using the latest mobile robotic complex "Uran-6". This minesweeper robot is controlled by an operator who can work with the complex at a distance of up to a kilometer. On "Uranus" 4 video cameras are installed, which allow you to conduct a circular view of the area. The minesweeper robot is able to detect, identify and destroy any explosive object with a power not exceeding 60 kg.
The specialists were also shown the mobile robotic complex "Cobra-1600". The robot is made on a tracked platform, equipped with a manipulator and a set of cameras.
"Cobra" can conduct reconnaissance, search and study suspicious objects. If necessary, the robot is able to transport it to a safe place or detonate it on the spot. The robot is controlled by both cable and radio, depending on the situation. "Cobra" is able to work continuously from four to eight hours. Also at the exhibition was shown a special vehicle of mine clearance groups based on the UAZ-2363 pickup truck. This car has all the necessary special equipment for effective mine clearance or transportation of explosive objects.
