The race of the Russian BMD-4M and BMD-2 was shown on video. The corresponding video on YouTube was published by the Russian Defense Ministry.
In the caption to the video, it is reported that ten teams took part in the individual race of the stage of the contest "Landing Platoon", held in the Yaroslavl region.
According to the terms of the competition, they had to overcome a distance of about eight kilometers, including such obstacles as "an anti-tank ditch, a model of a track bridge, a stop on the ascent, a track passage in a mine-explosive barrier, a passage between pillars on the descent, a maneuvering area, a slope, a fire strip and a ford".
In April, the "Military-industrial courier" wrote that in the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU), there are about 900 units of various armored fighting vehicles (AFV), mainly BMP-1 and BMP-2, BMD-1 and BMD-2 is a Soviet-made BTR-80 and earlier models, a significant number of MT-LB, and the BRDM-2 different versions.
