Unable to acquire modern combat aircraft, Ukraine decided to focus on unmanned aircraft. It is expected to receive about fifty "Bayraktar TB2".
These UAVs performed well during the military conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. With their help, a significant number of armored vehicles were destroyed: T-72 tanks of various modifications, BMP-2, BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers, 2S1 Gvozdika and 2S3 Acacia self-propelled artillery systems, as well as towed guns and vehicles.
For strikes, high-precision ammunition MAM-L and MAM-C were used, allowing to eliminate targets at ranges up to 8000 meters.
The anti-aircraft missile systems "Osa" and "Strela-10", which are in service with the Armenian side, were practically powerless against them due to their technical obsolescence.
Currently, these SAMs form the basis of the air defense of the people's militia forces of the self-proclaimed republics, and there is a possibility that Ukraine will try to repeat the Karabakh scenario in the Donbas. To do this, Turkey is currently actively working on an order for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and, perhaps, the drones will arrive in Nezalezhnaya even ahead of all deadlines.
