The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, approved the acceptance certificate for the completion of the tests of the Kazan submarine, which was previously signed by the General Director of Sevmash, Mikhail Budnichenko, and the chairman of the Commission for State Acceptance of ships, Captain I Rank Alexey Poteshkin.
This is the main news that has been waiting for a long time and which came by the end of Wednesday, May 5, 2021. The message that follows from it that the ceremony of raising the St. Andrew's flag and the announcement of the order to enroll the Kazan submarine in the Northern Fleet are scheduled for May 7 is already derivative and mostly symbolic. Although everyone who was involved in the creation of the lead ship - its design, construction, saturation with equipment and the latest weapons systems, general ship systems, and then tested it and brought it to the required characteristics-with full right to sum up a lot of hard work on such a day.
And for submariners who accept a new ship, on the contrary, everything is just beginning. And the day of raising the St. Andrew's flag on the submarine becomes the main day for the crew in all subsequent service.
Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, confirming the fact that the multi-purpose submarine " Kazan "has completed all the stages of testing, is ready for admission to the Navy and the raising of the St. Andrew's flag, noted that it "is the lead submarine of the fourth generation, built on the" Sevmash "according to the improved project"Ash-M". And during its construction, " the latest domestic technologies and technical solutions were introduced."
On the day of signing the acceptance certificate, the General Director of the shipyard Mikhail Budnichenko thanked the shipbuilders of Sevmash, the partner colleagues from the Malachite Design Bureau and the teams of the contracting companies that participated in the creation of the submarine missile carrier for their work. And to reread-to mention only the most-most, fingers on the hands are not enough. Supplies to Sevmash - to the procurement shops, directly to the slipway and during the completion of the ship at the embankment-came from all over Russia. And now they are continuing-already under new "orders" that are included in the State Armament Program and follow the "Kazan". In this series, multi-purpose submarines of the same project 885 "Yasen-M" under the already known names: "Novosibirsk", "Krasnoyarsk", "Arkhangelsk", "Perm", "Ulyanovsk", "Vladivostok"and " Voronezh".
As expected, representatives of the Main Command of the Russian Navy, a delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan, top officials of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, as well as heads of organizations and enterprises that were involved in the creation of the lead submarine of the Yasen-M project will take part in the solemn events that will be held on May 7 in the Sevmash water area and directly on board the Kazan submarine.
