Specialists of the Institute of Medical and Biological Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences have completed an experiment aimed at testing the flight to the satellite of our planet. A total of six people were involved in the study. It was part of the preparation for a new stage of the SIRIUS international isolation experiment.
Recently, Russia has stepped up its efforts to prepare for the first landing of astronauts on the moon. As it became known, scientists from the Institute of Biomedical Problems (IBMP) we have completed the "Sketch" experiment, the purpose of which was to simulate a flight to a natural satellite.
"The experiment is completed, the participants feel good," the press service of the organization noted. The first goal of the experiment was to assess the level of human stress during an acute period of adaptation to isolation in a hermetic object. The second goal is to study the molecular and cellular processes of adaptation of the immune system to extreme conditions.
The experiment involved six people: four men and two women. All of them are employees of the IBMP. In the module, which covers an area of eight square meters, the researchers spent two weeks. According to Sergey Ponomarev, the project's executive officer, an employee of the Institute, the choice of such a small module is due to the desire to achieve the most detailed simulation of the flight on the Orlyonok spacecraft.
The latter is a smaller version of the promising reusable space ship "Eagle", which was previously called"Federation". From its progenitor, the "lunar" ship inherited up to 90% of the parts. The weight of the "Eaglet" in comparison with the" Eagle " is reduced by five tons. The main feature is the reduction in the number of crew members to two astronauts: it is assumed that the "Eagle" can accommodate up to six people.

According to the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, the lunar spacecraft should appear around 2028. As a launch vehicle for it, they chose the Angara-A5 heavy class. As for the basic version of the ship, they want to test it in 2023, and in the middle of the decade, we can expect the first launch with crew members.

In February, Russia officially [...] announced its intention to build a lunar station together with the PRC. It is too early to judge with certainty about its appearance (a number of experts are generally skeptical about this event), but the main stages of creating the database are already known. In total, according to the Chinese side, there will be three of them, and they want to start the direct construction of the object in the second half of the 2020s.
