Small artillery ships "Volgodonsk", "Astrakhan" and "Makhachkala" of the Caspian flotilla performed artillery fire on sea and air targets of the imaginary enemy. The fire was conducted from the A-190 "Universal" and AK-306 gun mounts, as well as from the Igla MANPADS.
"According to the plan of the exercise at the sea crossing, small artillery ships of the CFl were attacked by a group of combat boats and means of air attack of the imaginary enemy. The crews of the corvettes organized defense, conducted combat maneuvers and distributed targets, " the press service of the Southern Military District reported.
The ship's shield, which was pulled by the sea tug MB-58, acted as a surface moving target. The air enemy was designated by SU-34 bombers from the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District. The pilots performed the setting of simulated air targets using a small-sized air target M-6.
In total, more than 20 warships and support vessels of the Caspian Flotilla were involved in the exercises, including the base minesweeper "Magomed Hajiyev", the anti-sabotage boat "Unarmeets of the Caspian Sea", artillery and amphibious boats.
