Nuclear submarines of the project 885M "Yasen-M" are capable of launching multiple launches of cruise missiles "Kalibr-PL" and "Onyx". First of all, we are talking about the submarine "Kazan".
It was this nuclear submarine that fired two missiles from a vertical launcher and a torpedo tube during state tests last November. This was reported to TASS by a source in the military-industrial complex. And he added, as it was: from a vertical launcher, a Kalibr-PL cruise missile was fired at a coastal target, from a torpedo tube-Onyx at a surface target. All launches were considered successful.
"RG" has already written about the launch of missiles at a sea target and at a coastal target located at the Chizha test site in the Arkhangelsk region. The distance is more than one thousand kilometers.
"Kazan" is the first submarine built according to the improved project "Yasen-M". She was launched in 2017.
