Rostov-on-Don. April 20. The marines of the Caspian Flotilla together with the sailors of the Northern Fleet conducted exercises on loading and unloading military equipment on landing ships on the Black Sea coast, the press service of the Southern Military District (SE) reports.
"At the training ground of the Southern Military District, marine units, crews of landing boats of the Caspian Flotilla and the crew of the large landing ship Alexander Otrakovsky of the Northern Fleet took part in a joint tactical and special exercise to organize the loading and unloading of military and special equipment on the coast," the report says.
It is noted that the personnel worked out the organization of communication with the point of loading( unloading), the approach to the shore, practical actions for placing equipment in the twin decks and the order of its withdrawal to the coast after transportation to the established standards.
"Also, as part of the training activities, the military personnel of the Marine Corps units and the crews of the ships worked out the tasks of air defense of the loading (unloading) point with the involvement of the calculations of the Igla and Strela-3 portable anti-aircraft missile systems," the report says.
In total, more than 500 CFL Marines and about 100 units of military and special equipment took part in the exercise.
Earlier it was reported that on Saturday, after passing the Bosphorus, the BDK of the Northern Fleet of Russia "Alexander Otrakovsky" and "Kondopoga"entered the Black Sea. Also on Saturday, two more large landing ships of the Russian Navy - the Kaliningrad and the Korolev-entered the Black Sea.
