TSAMTO, April 14. Armored vehicles "Typhoon-K" entered service with the intelligence unit of the Eastern Military District (VVO), stationed in the Republic of Buryatia.
This universal armored vehicle is a module for 16 people with increased security and cross-country capability. It can withstand the detonation of an explosive device with a capacity of up to 8 kg in tnt equivalent under any wheel and place under the bottom. "Typhoon" has an original chassis, a domestic engine with a capacity of 450 hp, an automatic transmission and automatic differential lock.
The car is equipped with five video cameras. In case of damage to the windshield, they will be able to provide an all-round view to the driver of the car and the crew in the armored module. It is also possible to install a remote-controlled machine gun module, which will be controlled by the shooter using the remote control and the image from the video cameras.
Upon arrival of the equipment in the units, the drivers will start running it on a specialized circuit. The servicemen will practice driving skills on armored vehicles in various weather conditions on rough terrain, learn how to maneuver at speed, manage vehicles as part of a column on steep ascents and descents, the press service of the Eastern Military District reports.
