Ekaterinburg. April 14. INTERFAX-URAL-The exercise with the participation of servicemen of the Ural tank division started at the training grounds of the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions, the press service of the Central Military District (CVO) reported on Wednesday.
"More than 3 thousand soldiers of the Guards Tank Division of the Central Military District are involved in the command and staff exercise. The exercise is held as part of a control check for the winter training period," the report says.
The commanders of tank, motorized rifle and artillery units will work out aspects of combat management and interaction with intelligence and unmanned aircraft during the exercise. The military will also pay special attention to the actions of tank and motorized rifle units in defense.
In the exercise, the servicemen will use more than 600 pieces of equipment, including modern modifications of T-72B3M tanks, BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicles, Bear artillery tractors, Msta-B towed howitzers and Grad multiple rocket launchers.
