The coastal troops of the Caspian Flotilla (CFl) with the coastal missile system (DBK) "Bal" in Dagestan "destroyed" the landing ships of the simulated enemy as part of a control check for the winter training period, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Monday, April 12.
The ministry said that at first the personnel of the missile system found targets in the sea. Then the calculations of the launch batteries in the positional area reloaded the missiles on the transport-loading vehicles, and the crews of the control batteries deployed the self-propelled command post of the communication control "Mineral"to the combat position, after which they performed combat tracking of the surface situation in the Caspian Sea.
DBK " Bal " managed to find a detachment of landing ships of the imaginary enemy and make electronic missile launches, thereby conditionally destroying the targets from two launchers. In addition, the rocket men provided anti-amphibious defense of the coast.
The military also carried out measures to support the Marine artillery batteries and provided anti-amphibious defense of the coast.
Earlier, on April 6, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, announced that the Armed Forces had begun control checks for the winter training period, which will include more than four thousand tactical, tactical-special and bilateral exercises. It was reported that in April it is planned to hold more than 4 thousand exercises of various scales, of which 812 are bilateral, at 101 training grounds and 520 objects of the training and material base.
