The Americans called their "new" fighter Eagle II. The aircraft was previously known as the Boeing F-15EX. According to a number of analysts, the car can be considered the pinnacle of the development of fourth-generation fighters.
The new version of the famous F-15 fighter is perhaps the most high-profile and discussed novelty from the world of combat aviation over the past few years. Now the car has been given a new name.
The aircraft was officially named Eagle II. The ceremony at which the car was given a new name was held on the territory of Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.

With the potential to carry up to 22 air — to-air missiles on external suspensions, the deeply upgraded F-15 can be considered the "most heavily armed fighter" in the world. The machine, among other things, will be able to carry hypersonic weapons and a number of air — to-surface aircraft weapons.
This year, the program has passed several key stages in its development. In February, the machine made its first flight, and later the US Air Force handed over the first aircraft of this type. In total, the US military can get about 200 such aircraft. As part of the Air Force, they will complement the F-22 and F-35.
