Moscow. April 5. INTERFAX - The task of destroying a detachment of warships of a simulated enemy was fulfilled at the exercises of the calculations of the coastal missile systems (DBK) "Bastion", the Baltic Fleet (BF) reported on Monday.
"The corvettes of the Baltic Fleet" Soobrazitelny "and" Steregushchy "and the patrol ship" Yaroslav the Wise "acted as a detachment of warships of the conditional enemy," the report says.
The DBK calculations performed electronic launches of anti-ship missiles on surface targets, the headquarters of the BF informs. According to him, the exercises are planned.
The Bastion anti - ship missile system (NPO Mashinostroyeniya, Tactical Missile Armament Corporation) was developed in two versions-the mobile Bastion-P and the stationary Bastion-S. The complex is equipped with a supersonic homing anti-ship missile "Onyx".
Bastion is designed to protect the sea coast and defeat surface ships of various classes and types operating as part of amphibious formations, convoys, ship and aircraft carrier strike groups, as well as single ships and ground-based radio-contrast targets in conditions of intense fire and electronic counteraction.
Bastion systems are deployed in all fleets of the Russian Navy. The range of the Onyx missile of the Bastion missile system is up to 500 km.
