In the Network there was a video from the large exercises of the Strategic Missile Forces in the Altai Territory. For the first time, mobile ICBM launchers "Yars" were used in the maneuvers and the microwave gun of the remote mine-clearing vehicle "Foliage"was used.
By the end of 2021, the Barnaul RVSN compound will be fully re-equipped with Yars complexes. During the current exercises, the rocket scientists for the first time brought new equipment to the combat patrol routes. During the training, they work out all sorts of situations: masking launchers on the ground, attacking saboteurs, overcoming an area infected with chemical, bacteriological weapons and radiation. And, of course, the neutralization of mines and improvised explosive devices laid on the route.
"The ammunition was destroyed by detonating and burning the detonators with ultra-high-frequency radiation," Captain Alexander Komov, head of the engineering service of the missile regiment, told Zvezda.
A column of rocket launchers on combat patrol is headed by a remote clearance vehicle "Foliage". Its sensors detect "hell machines" at a safe distance and automatically stop the armored car. The parabolic antenna of the microwave cannon placed on the roof is capable of neutralizing bombs at a distance of up to 100 meters. During the maneuvers in the Altai, "Foliage" destroyed mines within a radius of 50 meters - they simply did not lay any more. Just in case, three ordinary sappers are included in the calculation of the car.
