The Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy has begun a control check of the forces stationed in the Crimea and in the Krasnodar Territory during the winter training period. This was reported by the press service of the Black Sea Fleet.
The inspection is supervised by the commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Vice Admiral Igor Osipov. As part of the inspection, it is planned to assess the quality of the organization of combat training and the coherence of the fleet units, the state of its weapons and military equipment, as well as military discipline and law and order.
During the check, the Black Sea Fleet servicemen are involved in bilateral tactical exercises, where the unit commanders must demonstrate independence in solving the overall plan of the battle and the ability to make unexpected decisions for the enemy that would allow them to keep the initiative in battle.
The press service stressed that the ship groups, units of the ground forces, aviation and air defense "will work out tasks both in the offensive and in defense."
Earlier in Ukraine, they expressed alarm about the video in social networks, in which eyewitnesses captured echelons with military equipment being transferred to the Crimea. Commenting on the reaction of Kiev, the Kremlin said that Russia is moving troops within the borders of its state and this does not pose a threat to anyone. Later, the command of the Southern Military District reported that the transfer of troops is being conducted as part of a control check aimed at improving the level of training of troops.
