TSAMTO, April 1. In the Barnaul compound (Altai Territory), the latest remote mine clearance vehicle (MDR) "Foliage" was used to accompany the mobile ground missile system "Yars"on the combat patrol routes.
According to the legend of the exercise, the saboteurs laid about 20 remotely controlled explosive devices on the route of the column. These mines were planned to be activated, but they fell into the field of view of the emitters of the mine-clearing machine. The explosions occurred before the start of the movement of the column, all the "bookmarks" were destroyed.
The units of the Yars mobile missile system, for which these explosive devices were intended, were at a great distance from the explosion site at that time. MDR defused all explosive devices without exception: not only on the roadside and on the road, but also at a distance of 50 meters from the highway itself.
MDR "Foliage" is designed to detect mine-explosive devices (IDUs) with metal elements and destroy engineering ammunition and improvised explosive devices with electronic components.
The IDP is detected using an induction wide-field search module.
The clearance of mine-explosive devices with electronic components is provided by electromagnetic radiation generated by an electromagnetic complex consisting of ultra-high-frequency and ultra-wide-band installations, while the electronic components of the fuses are disabled, blocked or detonated.
Previously, this technology was not used to eliminate explosive devices at a distance.
The Listva electronics can detect mines and land mines at a distance of up to 100 meters, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Defense Ministry.
