Previously, it was assumed that this would happen in May-June
MOSCOW, April 1. /TASS/. The lead nuclear submarine of the project 885M cipher "Ash-M ""Kazan" will be handed over to the fleet for the Day of the Russian Navy, which this year is celebrated on July 25. This was reported to TASS by a source in the military-industrial complex.
"There was a slight postponement of the transfer of the Kazan to the fleet. The submarine will be delivered by the Day of the Navy, " he said.
According to previous plans, it was assumed that this event would take place approximately in May-June. According to another TASS source, as of the beginning of March, another control exit of the submarine into the sea was expected, after which an audit of the components and mechanisms will be carried out.
The press service of PO "Sevmash" (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation), where the submarines of the project 885M are being built, did not comment on this information to TASS.
The lead submarine of the project 885M "Yasen-M" "Kazan" was launched on March 31, 2017. On September 25, 2018, she entered factory sea trials. The timing of its transfer to the fleet was repeatedly postponed. The head of the USC, Alexey Rakhmanov, reported that he plans to transfer the submarine to the fleet in 2020. On December 9, in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper, the commander of the Northern Fleet, Alexander Moiseev, said that it would complete all state tests by the end of the year. However, for a number of reasons, the submarine did not fulfill the planned program of state tests on time. On December 31, the press service of Sevmash reported that the Kazan nuclear submarine will be handed over in 2021. It is known that the program of launches of cruise missiles "Kalibr" and "Onyx" "Kazan" during the tests performed successfully and other launches are not planned.
