The exercise with the withdrawal of autonomous launchers of the Yars PGRK to combat patrol routes began in the Strategic Missile Forces in Yoshkar-Ola (Republic of Mari El) and Teikovsky (Ivanovo region) missile formations.
It is planned to practice maneuvers on combat patrol routes and counteract sabotage formations.
The exercise will involve samples of the latest special equipment, including for engineering units, security and defense, radiation, chemical and biological protection.
The servicemen will use modern samples of special engineering and reconnaissance equipment, such as the Typhoon-M combat anti-sabotage vehicle, the Foliage remote mine clearance vehicle, and the MIOM engineering support and camouflage vehicle.
On January 29, the Defense Ministry revealed the characteristics of the strategic complex with the Yars-S intercontinental ballistic missile. It became known that the mobile ground missile system "Yars-S" is designed to defeat all types of strategic targets with the ability to maneuver.
Among the tactical and technical characteristics of the complex are specified: caliber-1.86 m, rocket length -17.8 m, launch weight-46 thousand kg, payload weight-1250 kg, range-up to 10 thousand kg, fuel type — solid.
As reported, the Teikovo, Yoshkar-Ola, Nizhny Tagil, Novosibirsk and Irkutsk missile divisions have been completely re-equipped with mobile-based Yars-S systems. The Barnaul and Bologovskaya divisions are being re — equipped with mobile-based complexes, and the Kozelskaya Division is being re-equipped with a stationary-based complex.
