The first in the series of Project 636 was the submarine "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky", it was transferred to the Pacific Fleet on November 25, 2019. The submarine "Volkhov", the second in the series, became part of the Pacific Fleet on October 24 last year. The third and fourth - "Magadan" and "Ufa" - are being built.
By the way, recently the press service of the "Admiralty Shipyards" said that at the end of March they plan to launch a diesel-electric submarine "Magadan". The degree of its technical readiness is more than 80 percent.
Submarines of the modified project 636.3 have a higher combat effectiveness. They optimally combine stealth and target detection range, the latest inertial navigation system, a modern automated information and control system, and powerful high-speed torpedo and missile weapons. The autonomous navigation of submarines is 45 days, the maximum diving depth is 300 meters. Crew - 52 people. It is armed with six torpedo tubes.
