The maneuvers of the rocket men took place at the Turali training ground in Dagestan. According to the press service of the Southern Military District, the servicemen marched to the training ground, where they worked out the standards for the deployment of coastal complexes.
Then the combat crews determined the data for electronic launches of cruise missiles at a sea target and installed the missiles on the launcher. The crews of the batteries deployed the self-propelled command post of the communication control "Mineral" in the combat position and made electronic launches of missiles at the ships of the imaginary enemy. Then the combat crews of the servicemen quickly changed their position and got out of the retaliatory strike of the imaginary enemy.
According to the press service, in total, about 200 servicemen of coastal missile systems took part in the training, about 20 units of military equipment were involved. Including launch launchers, transport-loading vehicles, self-propelled command posts of communication control and military tractors Ural-4320.
The Bal coastal missile system is designed to protect territorial waters, naval bases, coastal infrastructure and anti-amphibious coastal defense. "Bal" is equipped with an anti-ship missile X-35. The range of the missile is 260 kilometers.
