The crews of aircraft and helicopters of the Black Sea Fleet's naval aviation have begun tactical flight exercises, including bombing, shooting, and tracking the submarines of the imaginary enemy.
The start of the maneuvers of the Su-30SM fighters, Su-24M bombers and Mi-8 and Ka-27 helicopters takes place simultaneously with the entry into the Black Sea of the ships of the United Naval Forces (OVMS) NATO.
The press service of the Southern Military District (SE) commented that this is a planned tactical flight exercise (LTU) of aviation squadrons of a separate marine assault aviation regiment and a mixed aviation regiment of marine aviation and air defense of the Black Sea Fleet.
According to the ministry, the LTU involves multifunctional Su-30SM fighters, Su-24M front-line bombers, Be-12, An-26 aircraft, Mi-8 and Ka-27 helicopters.
"The crews of combat aircraft will perform training bombing and firing unguided missile weapons at the target field at the combat training ground. As part of the maneuvers, the crews of aircraft and helicopters will conduct training on the withdrawal of forces from under attack with relocation to alternate airfields, work out combat training tasks for searching and tracking submarines, as well as conduct a tactical landing on an unequipped coast," the military department reported.
