As reported by the Tatar-Inform news agency on February 20, 2021, the Ural Civil Aviation Plant, which has production in Kazan, signed a State Contract for the supply to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation of an installation batch of heavy unmanned aerial vehicles of long flight duration "Altius-RU". "As part of the implementation of the state contract for the Altius-RU ROC for the development of UAVs, the separate division No. 2 of JSC Ural Civil Aviation Plant in Kazan successfully defended and closed the "Technical Project" stage. A state contract was signed for the production and delivery of the installation batch of UAVs, " the documents say.
From the bmpd recall that, as was reported, JSC "Ural works of civil aviation" (UWCA) in December 2019 received a contract from the Ministry of defense of Russia "on the performance of the ROC "Altius-RU" for the creation of a reconnaissance-strike complex UAV long duration flight of a new generation, equipped with a set of satellite elements of artificial intelligence that can interact with manned aircraft," says Deputy defense Minister Alexey Krivoruchko. According to unofficial information, the contract cost was more than 7 billion rubles.
At the same time, it was reported that the "Altius-RU" is the final appearance of the UAV created as a result of the development and testing of a number of prototypes on the "Altius"theme. The complex is capable of performing the full range of reconnaissance tasks using optical, radio-technical and radar means and is in the air for more than a day. The weight of the device is about six tons. The features of the complex are the use of a satellite control channel, which makes the radius of its use almost unlimited.
The development of a heavy unmanned aerial vehicles heavy class "Altair" in the class take-off weight (initially) 5000 kg was conducted JSC "NPO OKB imeni M. P. Simonov" (until may 2014 - OKB "Sokol", Kazan) contract from October 2011 with the Ministry of defense of Russia in the amount of 1,035 billion rubles in the framework of the project "Altius-M". The construction of the devices is carried out at JSC "KAPO-Composite", created on the basis of one of the workshops of the Kazan Aviation Plant. Full flight tests of the first prototype demonstrator UAV "Altair" (tail number "01"), built in 2014 under a contract for research and development, were started in July 2016.
In November 2014, the NPO Simonov Design Bureau received a state contract worth 3.6 billion rubles for the implementation of the Altius-O development work, according to which the bureau was to produce two flight prototypes of UAVs by February 2017 and hand them over in November 2018. In May 2017, the second prototype of the UAV "Altair" (with the tail number "02") was demonstrated, and in early 2018, flight tests of the third model of the UAV "Altair" (with the tail number "03") were started, which, according to known information, were conducted with significant difficulties.
After the revision of the topic by the commission of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation at the end of 2018, further work on the Altair UAV was transferred to JSC Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA, Yekaterinburg), which conducts them at its specially created division No. 2 in Kazan on the basis of JSC KNPP "Helicopters-Mi" (former Kazan branch No. 1 of the Moscow Helicopter Plant named after M. V. Mil). The Ministry of Defense has signed a contract with a new contractor for a new research project "Altius-U". In August 2019, UZGA began flight tests of the first UAV model (tail number "861") on the topic "Altius-U", which, apparently, was converted from one of the first three prototypes built (probably the third) UAV "Altair". This was followed in December 2019 by the above-mentioned contract of the Russian Ministry of Defense with UZGA for the implementation of the already full-fledged ROC "Altius-RU".
It should be noted that currently the owner of the largest blocks of shares and JSC " NPO OKB named after M. P. Simonov" (40%), and UZGA (up to 49%) is the NC-Bank of Viktor Grigoriev. It was reported that now the DATA for R & d and mass production of BLAH on the "Altius-RU" creates a new platform based on the site of JSC "KamGESenergostroy" at the factory airfield Borisoglebskoe Kazan aviation plant named after S. P. Gorbunov.
